Arizona Cardinals pass-rusher BJ Ojulari will miss the 2024 season with a knee injury, head coach Jonathan Gannon announced Saturday.

Ojulari tore his ACL at training camp Friday, a source told Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. Ojulari was reportedly carted off the field and left the practice early.

Arizona drafted Ojulari in the second round in 2023. The 22-year-old didn't start a contest during his rookie season, but his playing time increased as the campaign progressed. Ojulari played in 49% of the snaps in the club's final 10 contests, racking up 23 tackles, five quarterback hits, and four sacks during that stretch.

The LSU Product was one of the top pass-rushers in the 2023 class, totaling 25 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks in three years with the Tigers.

Ojulari was projected to be one of the Cardinals' starting edge rushers in 2024. Dennis Gardeck and Dante Stills will likely see increased playing time in Ojulari's absence.

Arizona's defense struggled in its first season under Jonathan Gannon, ranking dead last in success rate, according to Ben Baldwin's database.
