Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill believes he's faster than a 100m gold medalist.

"I would beat Noah Lyles," Hill told Kay Adams on the "Up & Adams show" when asked if he would like to race him when he's home from the Olympics.

Hill added: "I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles. And guess what? When I beat him, I'm gonna put on the COVID mask and let him know I mean business."

Lyles won the gold medal in the 100m race with a 9.79 time, narrowly defeating Jamaica's Kishane Thompson. Lyles ran the 200m race after testing positive for COVID and left the event in the wheelchair following his bronze-medal finish.

The 27-year-old sprinter sparked controversy when he took a shot at NBA players, saying they should not be celebrated as global champions.

"I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have 'World Champion' on their head. World Champion of what? The United States?" Lyles said in August 2023.

He added: "I love the US at times, but that ain't the world."

Hill responded to those comments Monday.

"Noah Lyles can't say nothing after what just happened to him. Then he want to come out and pretend like he sick ... That's like horseradish," Hill said on the show. "So for him to do that and say that we're not world champions of our sport ... Just speak on what you know about, and that's track."

Hill's personal best time in the 100m is 10.19 seconds, according to Callie Lawson-Freeman of Yahoo Sports.
