Report: Broncos exploring trade options for Patrick, Perine
The Denver Broncos are looking to move on from a couple veterans.
Denver is exploring trade options for Tim Patrick, and he is generating strong interest from other teams, a source told Mike Klis of 9NEWS. The club informed the wide receiver he'll be released if a trade partner isn't found, Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post reports.
Patrick agreed to a revised one-year deal with the Broncos this offseason after signing a three-year, $30-million extension in 2021. The 30-year-old has not played over the last two seasons due to a torn Achilles in 2023 and a torn ACL in 2022.
The Broncos are also engaged in trade conversations surrounding running back Samaje Perine, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Perine, 28, rushed for only 238 yards last season but was active in the passing game, hauling in 50 receptions for 455 yards.
