Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan isn't hiding his displeasure with quarterback Will Levis' decision-making after the signal-caller made another ill-advised play that resulted in a turnover for the second straight week.

"Yeah, I was upset. It was dumb," Callahan said postgame, per The Tennessean's Nick Suss. "It was the same exact thing he did last week, and it cost us points in the red zone. That is what it is. He's a grown-up. He knows better. I was really irritated that he cost us three points in a game that we really needed it."

The New York Jets defense pressured Levis in the red zone on third-and-goal in Sunday's second quarter. Instead of taking a sack, the second-year passer attempted a lateral to halfback Tyjae Spear that New York scooped up.

Following the play, the broadcast caught an irate Callahan yelling at Levis, "Hey, what the f--- are you doing?"

The 2023 second-rounder threw a costly pick-6 in the Titans' loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 1.

Levis admitted postgame Sunday that he should've taken the sack against the Jets, adding that he needs to eliminate his penchant for making bad plays.

"I'm going to do everything I can to rewire my brain to make sure that when I'm in those situations, I'm not making those decisions," Levis said. "I think throughout my career, I've gotten a lot better at not forcing things or at least not forcing balls into windows."

The Kentucky product completed 19 of 28 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown but turned the ball over twice in the 24-17 loss to the Jets. Levis has accounted for five turnovers through two weeks of the season.

Despite several miscues by his quarterback, Callahan is backing Levis amid his early-season struggles.

"I got plenty (of) confidence in Will," Callahan said, according to NFL.com's Kevin Patra. "I believe in everything he's done so far. We just got to keep working to get better."
