Cowboys' Lawrence: We need to stop 'playing little league football'

Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence called out his team's play following its 28-25 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

"We've got the guys to do it, so that ain't the problem. It's just all about f-----g doing it," Lawrence said postgame, per Saad Yousuf of The Athletic.

He added: "Once we get out of playing little league football and get back to playing pro football, we'll be alright."

The Cowboys went down 28-6 with just over 10 minutes remaining. They scored 19 points on their next three possessions, but Lamar Jackson iced the contest with a 10-yard run right after the two-minute warning.

Dallas' defense has been picked apart during the team's two-game losing streak, allowing 889 yards and 72 points combined.

"Right now, we just got people trying to be Superman. People just gotta own their jobs," star edge rusher Micah Parsons said postgame, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

"We don't need any Supermans. We just need 11 guys playing together."

The Cowboys have also failed to get a consistent rushing attack, totaling only 221 yards on the ground through three games. Baltimore ran for 274 yards on Sunday, including Derrick Henry's 151.

This is the first time Dallas has started 1-2 since the team went 6-10 in 2020. The Cowboys will next face off against the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.
