The Dallas Cowboys did not get good news on the injuries that Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence suffered in Thursday's 20-15 win over the New York Giants.

Head coach Mike McCarthy told media Friday that Lawrence's foot sprain is worse than Parson's ankle injury, but both issues are worse than initially anticipated, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Parsons reportedly suffered a high ankle sprain after a Giants offensive lineman rolled onto his leg in the fourth quarter of the prime-time game. He was carted to the locker room after being evaluated in the medical tent.

Meanwhile, Lawrence is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks due to a foot sprain, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He's a strong candidate to land on injured reserve.

Both players are getting second opinions on the injuries, McCarthy added, per Machota.

Parsons also dealt with a neck injury earlier in the win over the Giants but returned to the game.

Lawrence recorded one sack, one tackle for a loss, and one quarterback hit Thursday. The 32-year-old's three sacks lead the Cowboys through three games. Lawrence is coming off of back-to-back Pro Bowl campaigns.

The 2-2 Cowboys play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5 and the Detroit Lions in Week 6 before entering a bye week.
