Tight end George Kittle will make his return to the starting lineup Sunday when the San Francisco 49ers host the New England Patriots, the team confirmed Friday.

Kittle was a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday after missing last week's game due to a hamstring injury. He wasn't listed with a designation on the team's final injury report Friday.

The five-time Pro Bowler has tallied 11 receptions for 116 yards and one touchdown in two games this season.

Quarterback Brock Purdy is also good to go after being a full participant throughout the week despite dealing with a back ailment.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Deebo Samuel (calf) and offensive tackle Trent Williams (toe) are listed as questionable.

Samuel returned to the 49ers' practice field for the first time since their Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings. The 2021 All-Pro wideout was expected to be out of the lineup for two weeks but could return slightly ahead of schedule.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed linebacker Curtis Robinson tore his ACL in practice Thursday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Shanahan also said star running back Christian McCaffrey has returned from Germany, where he was receiving treatment for Achilles tendonitis.

"We'd like to start hitting his rehab here harder on Monday," Shanahan said, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner.

San Francisco will try to end its two-game skid Sunday.
