The Detroit Lions expect tight end Sam LaPorta to play Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Dan Campbell announced Saturday.

LaPorta suffered a low ankle sprain in the club's Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals, a source told Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Campbell announced Monday that the tight end was considered day-to-day.

The 23-year-old was in and out of the game last Sunday, playing only 63% of the snaps. He finished the contest with two catches on two targets for 36 yards.

LaPorta has been quiet this season after a terrific 2023 campaign in which he totaled 889 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Iowa product hasn't found the end zone this season, racking up eight catches for 94 yards in three games.
