Dallas Cowboys CEO and director of player personnel Stephen Jones doesn't envision his team pursuing Las Vegas Raiders star wideout Davante Adams.

"No, I don't think there is anything to that," Jones Thursday said on 94.1 San Antonio Sports Star radio.

"We just signed our No. 1 guy (CeeDee Lamb), and (Adams) is a No. 1 receiver. When you have the challenges cap-wise that we have, that would be a long putt for us."

Adams is amid trade rumors after the 32-year-old reportedly told the Raiders he'd prefer to be moved.

Dallas has $23.7 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap. Adams would account for $13.5 million of a team's salary cap in 2024 if it acquired the veteran now, per Spotrac. The Fresno State product has cap hits of $44-plus million in 2025 and 2026.

The Cowboys have struggled to get receiving production from anyone outside of Lamb this season. He accounts for 29% of the club's receiving production and is the only player with more than 165 yards receiving yards.

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks will miss the team's Week 5 contest due to a knee infection and reportedly had it scoped in Dallas to clean out the ailment. He's off to a slow start through four games, hauling in less than 50% of his targets for 91 yards and one score.

"There's a lot of great players out there. We're always keeping an eye on them, but we're focused on the guys we have at the moment. If we see the right situation that arises, we'll look at it," Jones said.

The Cowboys (2-2) face the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1) on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.
