Packers' Doubs will return to practice following suspension

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs plans to attend the team's Wednesday practice after meeting with the team Monday following his one-game suspension, head coach Matt LeFleur confirmed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"It's a pretty isolated incident. This has not happened with him before and I don't expect it to happen moving forward," LaFleur said.

Doubs' meeting with team officials "went well," a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

The Packers placed Doubs on the reserve/suspended list due to conduct detrimental to the team after he reportedly skipped Thursday's and Friday's practice sessions. He was apparently unhappy with his role in Green Bay's passing attack.

Multiple teams reportedly contacted Green Bay about the Nevada product's potential availability in a trade, but the franchise isn't interested.

The Packers defeated the Los Angeles Rams 24-19 on Sunday without the third-year wideout in the lineup. Quarterback Jordan Love spread the ball around to an array of pass-catchers, headlined by Tucker Kraft and Jayden Reed, who each hauled in four receptions. Dontayvion Wicks was targeted a team-high seven times Sunday.

Reed told reporters postgame that he'd spoken with Doubs and said his teammate was doing well.

"We've just got to stay together collectively. That's the most important thing," Reed said, according to team reporter Wes Hodkiewicz.

Green Bay opted to dress just four receivers Sunday with Doubs suspended and Christian Watson dealing with an ankle injury.

Doubs is third on the Packers with 12 receptions for 169 yards and zero touchdowns while averaging 14.1 yards per catch.

The Packers (3-2) host the Arizona Cardinals (2-3) Sunday.
