49ers lose Mason to shoulder injury in TNF win vs. Seahawks
San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason left Thursday night's 36-24 win against the Seattle Seahawks with a shoulder injury.
Mason appeared in pain while on the ground following a 14-yard run in the second quarter. He managed to walk to the sideline under his own power before heading to the 49ers' locker room for X-rays.
The Georgia Tech product returned to the Niners' sideline ahead of halftime. However, Mason went to the medical talent following an 8-yard gain to begin the third quarter. He didn't play another snap for the remainder of the contest.
Mason rushed for 73 yards on nine carries before exiting the game. Isaac Guerendo and Patrick Taylor received the bulk of the carries, with Mason watching most of the second half from the sideline.
Mason entered the Week 6 contest as the NFL's second-leading rusher with 536 rushing yards to go along with three rushing touchdowns through five games.
