Colts OC Hamilton talks up backup RB Brown

by David P. Woods

With Vick Ballard on IR and Ahmad Bradshaw potentially facing the same future, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton began the process of talking up the best backup running back he has left on his roster: Donald Brown.

One of the bigger draft busts in recent years, Brown has consistently failed to become a consistent pro player. His defining moment in the NFL is this play:

Trent Richardson will surely carry the load for the Colts moving forward, assuming Bradshaw is indeed out for an extended period of time, but the Colts will have to rely on Brown for the occasional touch.

The team knows confidence isn't Brown's strong suit, so it's no surprise to hear them pumping him up.
