Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf was carted to the locker room in the team's victory over the Atlanta Falcons due to a knee injury.

Metcalf left the game in the second half and was listed as questionable to return. He tried jogging on the sideline before consulting with trainers and taking the cart to the locker room.

The 26-year-old was having a solid contest, racking up four catches for 99 yards and a touchdown.

Head coach Mike Macdonald said postgame the team is hopeful that the severity of Metcalf's injury isn't too serious.

"We're optimistic at this point. It doesn't look too bad," Macdonald said, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson.

Metcalf had 31 catches for 469 yards and two touchdowns heading into the Week 7 contest.

The Seahawks will host the Buffalo Bills next Sunday.
