Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw suffered a knee injury in the club's Thursday night contest against the Los Angeles Rams that'll require season-ending surgery, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Darrisaw left the game with 35 seconds remaining in the first half after a 2-yard run from Aaron Jones. He was helped off the field by trainers and didn't return. Minnesota kneeled the ball on the following play to end the second quarter.

The 25-year-old signed a four-year extension worth up to $113 million this offseason. His $26-million annual salary makes him the second-highest-paid offensive tackle in the NFL, according to Over The Cap.

Minnesota drafted Darrisaw 23rd overall in 2021 out of Virginia Tech. He has 46 starts over his four-year career.

David Quessenberry initially replaced Darrisaw when he exited the contest.
