The Denver Broncos traded edge rusher Baron Browning to the Arizona Cardinals for a sixth-round pick pending a physical, the team announced Monday.

Browning has played in five games this season, missing time due to a foot ailment. He's recorded seven tackles, including one for a loss, and no sacks. Denver drafted him in the third round in 2021.

The 25-year-old has struggled to stay healthy during his four-year career. He played in 29 games over the last three seasons due to various injuries. Browning's recorded 114 tackles and 9.5 sacks since entering the NFL and is a free agent following this season.

He'll look to fill the Cardinals' void at linebacker after veteran Dennis Gardeck was placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL on Oct. 22.

The Cardinals are tied for 13th in the league for total sacks. Their next matchup is at home against the New York Jets on Nov. 10.
