Jared Goff's MVP chances took a massive hit Sunday night after he threw five interceptions against the Texans.

His odds of winning the award went from +700 (12.5% implied probability) to +4000 (2.4% implied probability) even though the Lions won their prime-time contest on a last-second field goal.

Goff dropped from the fourth favorite - behind Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes - on the oddsboard to ninth alongside Justin Herbert.

There was a lot of buzz around Goff's potential MVP candidacy before Sunday's game. As the signal-caller for the league's most efficient offense, he had Detroit atop the NFC with a 7-1 record and had thrown only four picks to go with 17 touchdowns before the Lions' victory over Houston.

C.J. Stroud, who threw two interceptions of his own Sunday night, also saw his MVP odds lengthen. While he was already a long shot, Stroud went from +3500 to +5000 after the Texans' fourth loss this season.

Meanwhile, Jackson remains the MVP favorite at +110. Allen is close behind at +350 and undefeated Mahomes sits third at +550.

Jayden Daniels (+1300), Jalen Hurts (+1300), Brock Purdy (+1800), Kyler Murray (+2200), and Joe Burrow (+2500) are now ahead of Goff on the oddsboard.
