Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is expected to start against the Houston Texans on Sunday, head coach Doug Pederson said Friday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Lawrence has missed the last two games due to a shoulder injury he suffered versus the Philadelphia Eagles. He's been listed as a limited participant in practice this week.

"He's had a good week. Anytime you get your starting quarterback back out there, that gives you a little energy and all that. It's a positive, yes," Pederson told reporters, according to Adam Wexler of SportsTalk 970.

Jacksonville has been outscored 64-13 in the two games Lawrence has missed. Mac Jones started both contests, totaling 277 passing yards with zero touchdowns and three interceptions.

Lawrence, 25, is 2-7 in nine starts this campaign. The former first overall pick has 2,004 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions with an 87.9 passer rating in 2024.
