Star wideout Davante Adams says he would be open to returning to the New York Jets despite the team's struggles this season and the uncertainty surrounding quarterback and friend Aaron Rodgers.

"That's a great question, and I truly don't have the answer to it right now," Adams said when asked about his plans for next season. "I would love to be a part of this football team. I love these guys. ... I'd love to go to war with these guys."

Adams hasn't been able to turn to replicate his typical production this season after posting at least 100 receptions and 1,100 yards in five of the past six campaigns. The All-Pro receiver has 49 catches for 553 yards, including 344 yards and two touchdowns with the Jets.

Adams said that his contract, along with the future of Rodgers, will play a role in his decision about the future. The 31-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal, which carries a $38.3-million cap hit in both the 2025 and 2026 seasons, per Over the Cap.

"It’s a business, and there's a lot of pieces contractually," Adams said. "Obviously with Aaron's future and a lot of things I can't control, just gonna finish this year off strong. Hopefully we do enough to where everybody's feeling like it's the right thing to do for us to stay here. After this year, we'll assess and figure it out."

The six-time Pro Bowler was acquired by the Jets in an October trade with the Las Vegas Raiders and remains steadfast in his decision to join the Jets despite the 3-9 mark.

"Extremely disappointed in the win-loss column, but as far as making the move, I don't regret it. Not even one bit," Adams said.

Rodgers echoed his teammate's sentiments.

"I mean that part sucks, but the fact I get to sit next to my best friend in the league every single day is the best," Rodgers said, according to team reporter Jack Bell.

The Jets are in the midst of restructuring after dismissing head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas during the regular season. New York hasn't made the playoffs in 13 consecutive seasons.

The Jets will look to halt their three-game losing streak when they face the Miami Dolphins (5-7) on Sunday.
