Report: 49ers' Greenlaw to return for TNF vs. Rams
The San Francisco 49ers plan to activate linebacker Dre Greenlaw off injured reserve ahead of their Thursday night matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Greenlaw has been sidelined since he tore his Achilles in the Super Bowl, and tonight will be his season debut. San Francisco plans to "ease his way back" into the lineup, Rapoport adds.
The 27-year-old was officially questionable for the contest. He was listed as a limited participant in Monday and Tuesday's practices but was a full participant in Wednesday's session.
Trent Williams has been ruled out for Thursday's game, while Nick Bosa is questionable. Running back Isaac Guerendo, who left last week's game due to a foot injury, is expected to suit up tonight, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Greenlaw has been with the 49ers since being selected in the fifth round of the 2019 draft. He has 446 tackles and 14 forced fumbles in 62 career games.
