The Kansas City Chiefs have activated kicker Harrison Butker off injured reserve before Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, the team announced Saturday.
Matthew Wright was released to make room for Butker on the roster. Wright nailed eight of nine field goals in two games with Kansas City and hit the game-winning kick against the Los Angeles Chargers last week.
Butker has missed the last four games with a knee injury. He was placed on IR after reportedly undergoing surgery for a meniscus trim in November.
The 29-year-old Butker has hit 18 of 20 field goals this season. Kansas City made him the highest-paid kicker in the NFL this offseason after he signed a four-year, $25.6-million extension.
