Campbell: Lions vs. Vikings in Week 18 is 'fairytale stuff'
There will be plenty at stake when the Detroit Lions host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, with the winner earning the NFC North title, a first-round bye, and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell is looking forward to the challenge, describing the matchup as "fairytale stuff."
"This is what you're in it for, man," Campbell said following Monday's 40-34 win over the San Francisco 49ers, according to Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com. "You couldn't write a better scenario. You couldn't come up with this. The fact that both teams are sitting at 14-2 and it's for the division and the No. 1 seed. It just doesn't get any better than this. This is fairytale stuff."
The Lions improved to 14-2 with Monday's win and became the first team in NFL history to score at least 40 points without committing a turnover in five games.
The Vikings enter Week 18 having won nine straight games, tied for the third-longest winning streak in franchise history.
