Parsons: Cowboys will win Super Bowl next season
Micah Parsons is predicting the Dallas Cowboys to win the Super Bowl next season.
"We're not done yet, and I hope y'all don't think we're done yet," Parsons said on his podcast "The Edge with Micah Parsons."
"It's going to be an amazing, amazing, amazing thing to see next year when we're holding the trophy. Yes, it's big goals, but I'm telling y'all right now, it's holding the trophy. I'm saying my prayers out loud, I'm saying my goals out loud, so y'all can hear them."
Dallas missed the playoffs this campaign for the first time since 2020 after posting a 7-10 record. The franchise hasn't reached a conference championship in over 28 years.
Who will be at the helm of the Cowboys next season is still uncertain. Head coach Mike McCarthy's contract expires next week, but owner Jerry Jones reportedly blocked the Chicago Bears from interviewing him for their vacancy.
McCarthy has posted a 49-35 record since becoming Dallas' head coach in 2020, leading the team to three consecutive 12-win seasons from 2021-23.
The Cowboys had a multitude of injuries this campaign, including losing quarterback Dak Prescott to a season-ending hamstring injury in November. However, Dallas' offense ranked 24th in EPA/play for the first nine weeks of the year with Prescott under center, according to Ben Baldwin's database.
Dallas is projected to have $14.9 million in cap space for 2025, per Over The Cap. Brandin Cooks, Zack Martin, Rico Dowdle, and DeMarcus Lawrence are some of the notable names on the roster set to become unrestricted free agents this winter.
Parsons is set to hit free agency in 2026. The two-time first-team All-Pro had 43 tackles and 12 sacks in 13 games this season.
