Report: Deion interested in Raiders' coaching job

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is interested in the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching vacancy, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Sanders' NFL-connected associates have contacted the Raiders to express the former's interest in the job, Bonsignore adds. It's reportedly unclear if Las Vegas is interested in interviewing Sanders.

Tom Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders, has worked and mentored Deion's son, Shedeur Sanders, during his college career under center. Shedeur has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft and is expected to be among the top signal-callers picked. The Raiders hold the sixth overall selected in this year's event.

"The only way I would consider (leaving Colorado) is to coach my sons. Not son. Sons," Sanders said Wednesday on "Good Morning America." "I love Colorado. I love my Buffaloes. I love everything we're building. I love everything we're doing and I love Boulder, Colorado. I do. Immensely."

Sanders has been Colorado's head coach for the last two seasons after leaving Jackson State in 2023. He helped the Buffaloes go 9-4 this campaign - the school's best record since 2016.

The Raiders have already begun their coaching search, reportedly scheduling interviews with Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, Steve Spagnuolo, Robert Saleh, and Pete Carroll.
