Los Angeles Rams outside linebacker Jared Verse isn't afraid to prod Philadelphia Eagles fans ahead of Sunday's divisional-round matchup.

"I hate Eagles fans," Verse told the Los Angeles Times' Gary Klein. "They're so annoying. I hate Eagles fans."

Verse added: "When I see that green and white, I hate it. I actually get upset. Like, I actually genuinely get hot."

The rookie pass-rusher is well aware of Eagles fandom after spending three years at Central Columbia High School in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

Verse was once again reacquainted with Eagles fans when the Rams hosted the NFC East club in November. He said he could hear obscenities from the Philly faithful in attendance during his pregame routine despite wearing headphones.

"I didn't even do nothing to 'em," Verse said. "It was my first time playing. Oh, I hate Eagles fans."

Verse maintains he'll keep his composure for Sunday's game as the Rams look to slow down Saquon Barkley, who racked up 302 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in the teams' regular-season meeting.

The Florida State product went viral after recovering a fumble and motoring 57 yards before diving into the end zone in L.A.'s 27-9 wild-card win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Verse is considered the front-runner to earn the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defender posted 66 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks after being selected 19th overall in April.
