Jon Baldwin News: Baldwin was, once again, the 49ers starting receiver opposite Anquan Boldin, but caught just one pass for nine yards during Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
Baldwin was, once again, the 49ers starting receiver opposite Anquan Boldin, but caught just one pass for nine yards during Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
The 49ers are desperately in need of a No. 2 wideout to alleviate some of the pressure and coverage from Boldin and tight end Vernon Davis, but Baldwin is now their third attempt and they are still coming up empty. It could be more Colin Kaepernick than Baldwin as to why he is not seeing the ball come his way, but with just two targets in each of the last three games, his value is practically non-existent. He'll fall into complete anonymity once Mario Manningham actually makes his return.
