Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith agreed to return to the franchise for a 14th season with the team, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

Smith is reportedly signing a one-year, $10.25-million deal that can reach $14 million with incentives.

The 36-year-old suited up in 16 regular-season games last year and totalled 87 tackles, 10 passes defended, and three interceptions while playing in 95% of the defensive snaps.

Smith has been with the Vikings since they selected him in the first round of the 2012 draft. He's the franchise leader in tackles (822) and interceptions (37).

The Notre Dame product has earned six Pro Bowl nominations and one first-team All-Pro nod during his NFL career.
