Report: Jameis Winston visiting Giants
Free-agent quarterback Jameis Winston is scheduled to visit with the New York Giants on Tuesday, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Winston, 31, started seven games for the Cleveland Browns last season. He has 87 career starts across 10 NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Browns.
The former No. 1 overall pick threw for 2,121 yards with 13 touchdowns against 12 interceptions while completing 61% of his passes in 2024.
The Giants have reportedly been considering several veteran quarterbacks this offseason, including Aaron Rodgers.
New York apparently turned its attention to Rodgers after failing to acquire Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Rodgers, a four-time MVP who spent the last two seasons with the New York Jets, has also been linked to the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Giants reportedly hosted Russell Wilson and Joe Flacco recently as well.
New York also holds the third overall pick in April's draft and could use it to select one of the class' top-ranked quarterbacks in Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.
The Giants re-signed Tommy DeVito this offseason, and he's currently the only passer under contract with the team.
