Cousins, Burrow, Goff to star in 2nd season of Netflix's 'Quarterback'
Netflix announced Wednesday the return of its "Quarterback" docuseries for a second season.
The next installment of "Quarterback" will follow the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow, the Detroit Lions' Jared Goff, and the Atlanta Falcons' Kirk Cousins, who was featured in the program's first season when he was with the Minnesota Vikings.
The show's second season was filmed throughout the 2024 NFL campaign and will follow each signal-caller on and off the field.
Cousins, who joined Patrick Mahomes and Marcus Mariota for the first season of "Quarterback" that aired in 2023, debuted with the Falcons after signing a four-year, $180-million contract last offseason. The 36-year-old began the 2024 campaign as the starter but lost his job to rookie Michael Penix Jr. late in the year.
Burrow had a fantastic 2024 after a wrist injury ended his 2023 season early. He led the NFL with 4,918 passing yards and 43 touchdowns but couldn't push the Bengals into a playoff spot.
The Lions clinched their second consecutive NFC North title with Goff under center last campaign. The Pro Bowl passer threw a career-high 37 touchdowns and helped Detroit secure the NFC's No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
Netflix released "Receiver" in 2024, which followed star wideouts Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle during the 2023 season.
NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions, NFL Films, and Mahomes' 2PM Productions produce "Quarterback."
