Hunter: Goodell 'better say wide receiver and DB' with my name
Travis Hunter has a special request for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell ahead of the 2025 draft.
The Colorado two-way star told CBS Sports at the Buffaloes' pro day Friday that he wants Goodell to say both of his positions when his name is called at the draft.
"He better say wide receiver and DB. He got to," Hunter said.
Hunter is widely projected to be a top-five selection in the draft, which will take place April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Colorado head coach Deion Sanders said Friday that he expects either Hunter or Buffaloes teammate Shedeur Sanders to end up with Cleveland, which as the No. 2 pick, after speaking with Browns owner Jimmy Haslam.
Hunter caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns as a receiver last season en route to winning the Heisman Trophy. He added 35 tackles, four interceptions, and 11 defended passes at cornerback.
