Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy will miss a second straight week due to a shoulder injury after being downgraded to out ahead of the team's Sunday night matchup against the New York Giants.

Worthy originally sustained the injury by colliding with teammate Travis Kelce during the Chiefs' Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The 22-year-old wideout was a limited practice participant all week. He won't travel with the team.

Hollywood Brown has been quarterback Patrick Mahomes' top wideout with Worthy and Rashee Rice out of the lineup. The former first-round pick leads the team in targets with 21 while totaling 15 receptions and 129 receiving yards.

Jalen Royals, who Kansas City selected in the fourth round of the 2025 draft, is questionable for Week 3 and didn't play in the team's first two contests.

The Chiefs are 0-2 to start the campaign after also losing the Super Bowl rematch last week to the Philadelphia Eagles.
