Report: Browns' Judkins to start vs. Packers
The Cleveland Browns plan to start rookie running back Quinshon Judkins on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Judkins, who Cleveland selected in the second round of the 2025 draft, made his season debut in last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The 21-year-old played in just over 26% of the Browns' offensive snaps against the Ravens, recording 10 carries for 61 yards. He was also targeted three times in the passing game, posting three receptions for 10 yards. Dylan Sampson, whom the Browns also took in this year's draft, has led the Browns in carries so far this season.
Judkins didn't sign his rookie contract until Sept. 6 and met with the league a few days later as part of the NFL's investigation into potential violations of the personal conduct policy. He was arrested on July 12 and charged with touch or strike battery/domestic violence, but prosecutors declined to move forward with the charges.
Cleveland's hoping the Ohio State product's increased playing time will give their ground attack a boost, as the club ranks 27th in rushing yards per contest through two games.
