Lamar returning for TNF vs. Dolphins after 3-game absence
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Miami Dolphins.
Jackson, who missed the Ravens' previous three games after sustaining a hamstring injury, didn't have a designation on the team's final injury report after being a full participant in practice throughout the week.
Jackson seemed likely to return after head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that he was "very confident" his star passer would be available.
The two-time MVP sustained a right hamstring injury during Baltimore's game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 28.
There was optimism that Jackson could make his return in time for the Ravens' contest against the Chicago Bears last week. Jackson had returned to practice but was designated as questionable after being a limited participant throughout the week. Baltimore created confusion by listing the quarterback as a full participant in the team's final injury report before downgrading him to a limited participant after it was revealed that he worked with the scout team.
Jackson's status on the Week 8 injury report could result in the Ravens being penalized by the NFL, which is looking into the matter. The league's injury report policy states that a player must be designated as limited when he participates on the scout team, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.
Harbaugh described the mix-up as an "honest mistake."
Jackson has tallied 869 passing yards and 166 rushing yards to go along with 11 total touchdowns and one interception, plus a 71.6% completion rate.
