Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith suffered a late left quadriceps injury during Thursday's 10-7 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Head coach Pete Carroll said after the game the veteran signal-caller got "smacked" and is dealing with a thigh bruise. Carroll added that it's unlikely to be a serious ailment, but he's unsure if he'll be available for their Week 11 contest versus the Dallas Cowboys.

Smith suffered the injury in the fourth quarter when he attempted to scramble and was tripped by a Broncos defender. Trainers attended to him before he limped off the field and entered the medical tent.

Kenny Pickett entered the contest and threw one incomplete pass. Smith returned to the game for the next two drives while noticeably limping. He was listed as questionable to return with under three minutes left in the game after Las Vegas missed a game-tying field goal. They ultimately never got the ball back.

Smith finished the game completing 16 of 26 passes for 143 yards with zero touchdowns and one interception. He was also sacked six times and posted a 60.3 passer rating. The Raiders' offense secured only 10 first downs on Thursday night with 188 offensive yards.

The loss drops the Raiders to 2-7 on the season in Carroll's first year as head coach.
