Report: Jets' Wilson expected to miss 3-4 weeks with knee sprain
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is expected to miss three-to-four weeks with a knee sprain, a source told ESPN's Rich Cimini.
Wilson won't need surgery on the injury, Cimini added. The 25-year-old left Sunday's 27-20 win over the Cleveland Browns in the third quarter and didn't return. He finished the game with zero receptions on three targets.
The injury is to the same knee that forced him to miss the previous two contests before he returned against Cleveland. Wilson is on pace to have the worst year of his career, totaling 59 catches for 395 yards and four touchdowns in seven appearances.
New York's air attack ranks 27th in EPA/dropback and 32nd in passing yards per game. Justin Fields, who made his eighth start of the year Sunday, had just 54 passing yards on 11 attempts in the win.
The Jets are on a short week and will face the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
