Philadelphia Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown is refusing to apologize for expressing his frustrations with the team's offense.

Brown shared his discontent with his current role during a Twitch stream while playing Madden NFL 26 on Tuesday. The disgruntled wideout described his situation as a "shit show" despite the Eagles sitting atop the NFC East with a 7-2 record, according to ESPN's Tim McManus.

"It's not just solely about my situation," Brown told reporters Wednesday, according to PHLY Sports' EJ Smith. "Obviously, I want to win too. And if we're really focused on winning and doing our job, we can't keep just slapping a band-aid over defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble.

"At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense? We're so great? That's what I am getting at," Brown added. "It's not about caring about winning and all I care about is stats. No, week after week, we aren't contributing."

Brown, a three-time Pro Bowler, has seen his role diminish in his fourth season with the Eagles. He received just three targets and finished with two receptions for 13 yards in Philadelphia's 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. The Ole Miss product is on pace to finish with a career-low in yards after posting at least 1,000 yards in each of his previous three campaigns.

Brown has previously voiced his frustration with the offense at different points this season, even after victories. He went on to explain that his issues are solely to do with the offense, and that he feels like they're putting unnecessary pressure on the defense and special teams to bail them out.

The Eagles star doesn't think an apology is necessary since he was in conversation with a friend during the stream.

"Like I said, if you have eyes, you can see that," Brown said. "It's not that I was throwing anybody under the bus. I am literally trying to laugh through this shit."

Head coach Nick Sirianni has declined to say that Brown's criticism are distracting the team.

"I'm close to being done answering these questions with this," Sirianni said, according to McManus. "He's working hard and he is a big part of this game plan (for Sunday's contest with the Lions) and he'll be a big part of the game plan going forward. He's working like crazy when he's here, and I'm excited to have him."

DeVonta Smith leads the Eagles with 48 receptions for 657 yards eclipsing Brown's 31 catches for 408 yards. Both receivers are battling for targets on an offense that also features Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert.

The Eagles host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.
