The Indianapolis Colts are re-signing wide receiver Alec Pierce to a four-year, $114-million deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Pierce was widely considered one of the best free-agent wideouts after recording career highs in targets (84), receptions (47), and receiving yards (1,003) in 2025.
The 25-year-old's new $29 million annual average salary puts him among the top 10 highest-paid wide receivers in the league, according to Over The Cap. Pierce, who's led the NFL in yards per reception in back-to-back campaigns, has emerged as one of the best deep-threat targets in the league.
Indianapolis entered the offseason hoping to retain both Pierce and quarterback Daniel Jones. Last Tuesday, the Colts placed the transition tag on Jones, which will cost them $37.8 million if he doesn't get an extension or offer sheet from another team.
The Colts started last season 8-2 but ultimately missed the playoffs after dropping their final seven games. They lost Jones to a torn Achilles injury in early December, which ultimately contributed to their season being derailed.
