Safety Reed Blankenship and the Texans agree on $24.75 million, 3-year contract, AP source says
Safety Reed Blankenship is going to the Houston Texans on a $24.75 million, three-year contract, a person with knowledge of the details told The Associated Press on Monday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract can’t be finalized until the start of the league year on Wednesday.
Blankenship played an integral role in the secondary with the Eagles, helping Philadelphia win the Super Bowl after the 2024 season.
Blankenship started 50 games over the past three seasons and has nine interceptions in four years. He signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent after the 2022 draft.
The Texans had the NFL’s No. 1 defense in 2025.
