Report: Ravens, Hendrickson agree to 4-year, $112M deal
The Baltimore Ravens and free-agent pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson have agreed on a four-year, $112-million contract, sources told The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
The pact comes just one day after the Ravens backed out of trading two first-round picks to the Las Vegas Raiders for star edge rusher Maxx Crosby.
Crosby reportedly failed his physical after arriving in Baltimore to finalize the trade. Las Vegas shut him down with two games left in the 2025 season, and he underwent surgery to repair a meniscus injury in early January.
The Ravens' doctors were unified in their belief that the MRI of Crosby's knee revealed potential long-term issues despite the short-term prognosis being positive, according to Russini. The team originally agreed to send two first-round picks to the Raiders: the No. 14 overall selection in 2026 and its first pick in the 2027 draft.
Hendrickson received offers from the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts before landing with the Ravens, per Russini. The veteran had been involved in multiple contract disputes with the Cincinnati Bengals in recent years and became an unrestricted free agent this offseason after playing on a one-year deal in 2025.
The 31-year-old is coming off a season in which he played only seven games while posting 16 tackles and four sacks. He opted to undergo season-ending core muscle surgery in December.
Despite the injury-riddled campaign, Hendrickson remains one of the most productive pass-rushers in the league. He's posted 61 sacks since 2021, ranking behind only T.J. Watt, Myles Garrett, and Micah Parsons.
Baltimore is hoping Hendrickson can boost a pass rush that ranked 28th in sacks and 29th in pressure rate last season, according to Next Gen Stats. No Ravens edge rusher eclipsed 4.5 sacks, as defensive tackle Travis Jones led the team with five.
