Charles Woodson says Tom Brady owes him his house

Tom Brady's storied career and three Super Bowl championships may have been stopped before it began if not for the infamous Tuck Rule Game.

The game was 12 years ago today and for those unaware of what went down, here's a reminder. New England trailed Oakland by a field goal late in the 2001 AFC Divisional game when Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson appeared to sack Tom Brady, forcing a fumble. Oakland recovered but the play was reviewed and officials ruled it an incomplete pass, giving Brady another shot. The Patriots went on to tie the game and win it in overtime, and the rest is history.

So logically, Woodson is taking credit for Brady's success and said as much Sunday on NFL Network's GameDay Morning.

"Let's just get this out of the way," Woodson said. "If they make the correct call -- which they did at first, then they overturned it -- this (10)-game playoff streak that Tom Brady has? It never happened. Tom Brady owes me his house. I'm the reason why he's married to who he's married to. I'm a reason for a lot of that. Everything. Because they overturned that call."

So, there you have it.
