Richard Sherman's brother: Michael Crabtree tried to start a fight at charity event
An article by Jerry Brewer of The Seattle Times sheds some light on the bad blood between Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree that sparked Sherman's instantly infamous post-game tirade Sunday.
According to Brewer, Sherman's older brother Branton said the feud between the two players began last summer, when Crabtree tried to fight Sherman at a charity event hosted by Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
A quick search reveals that Sherman and Crabtree participated in Fitzgerald's "Double Play Celebrity Softball Game" in August -- on opposing teams.
Sherman acknowledged Crabtree said something to him prior to the season that led to him holding a grudge, but he hasn't revealed what was said, or when it happened.
