Just for the record, no kicker (since 1967) has ever won the MVP of a Super Bowl. In fact, since 1980, 20 quarterbacks have won the award, while only four defensive players have won. Of course, we can't forget Desmond Howard in 1997, who became the first special teams player to win the award, recording 154 kickoff return yards (99-yard return for a TD) and 90 punt return yards.
