Snow in North Carolina cancels controversial Michael Vick appearance

Michael Vick had planned to appear at the Evening of Champions dinner in North Carolina before a snowstorm cancelled the event.

The weather meant a protest from a pitbull advocacy group that did not want to see Vick at the event would also be cancelled. 

The group had over 74,000 signatures and 1,500 people were set to attend and protest, according to ESPN.com. Vick will not be able to attend the event on its rescheduled date of February 27.
