Report: 'No reason to believe' Giants RB Wilson won't play in 2014
After missing all but five games last season with a neck injury, New York Giants running back David Wilson is expecting to play in 2014.
Despite suffering the season-ending injury in early October - and being advised that he faces increased risk of another neck injury if he continues his career - ESPN's Dan Graziano is reporting that "there's no reason to believe he won't be playing in 2014."
Graziano noted that Wilson will not be rushed back, but has been lifting weights and exercising.
The 22-year-old had a breakout rookie season in 2012 as the Giants' kick returner, racking up 1,533 yards and one touchdown in 16 games.
Wilson rushed for 146 yards on 44 carries while adding 222 yards on nine kick returns last season before suffering the injury.
