Anquan Boldin: Inks Two-Year Extension

Boldin signed a two-year extension with the 49ers on Monday, CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

The 49ers have been consistent in saying that signing Boldin was a high priority this offseason, and they came through with this statement on Monday. Boldin has been one of quarterback Colin Kaepernick's favorite targets since his arrival in San Francisco, leading the team in receptions (85), targets (130) and yards (1,179) in his first season since coming over from Baltimore. A healthy Michael Crabtree may cut into his targets a bit in 2014, but on the other hand, it could take some of the attention away from Boldin, making it slightly easier for the 6-foot-1 receiver to get open. At 33 years old, Boldin potentially has a couple more seasons of solid fantasy productivity ahead of him.
