It appears as though the Cleveland Browns have released not one, but two quarterbacks Wednesday.

Campbell was due a $250,000 roster bonus on the third day of the 2014 league year, meaning the Browns would have to release or trade him before Thursday to save the cash. He was set to earn a $3 million base salary in 2014.
The Browns also sent QB Brandon Weeden packing, leaving Brian Hoyer as the primary signal-caller on the roster.
Cleveland, however, is expected to draft a quarterback in May with one of its two first-round picks. The Texans are also expected to release Matt Schaub, another option for the Browns to consider under center moving forward.
