With Charlie Whitehurst having signed with the Titans, Clemens will now serve as the Chargers' top backup behind starting quarterback Philip Rivers. Clemens saw nine starts for the Rams in 2013 after Sam Bradford was lost for the season, recording 1,673 passing yards and a 8:7 TD:INT ratio.
