Raiders owner Mark Davis on LA: 'I know that we would be well embraced down there'

Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis continues to seek a permanent home for his franchise, but admitted Sunday at the NFL owner's meetings that he has considered moving the team south to Los Angeles.

"We're not done in Oakland. We're trying really hard, and we'll see how that goes," Davis said via CSN Bay Area. "But Los Angeles is something that I've definitely thought about and haven't pursued. There are other places as well. Until we can find out if Oakland is real, then I'm staying in Oakland. If we can get something done in Oakland, I will stay in Oakland.

"I know that we would be well embraced down there [Los Angeles]. There's no question about that."

Davis has been pushing hard for a new stadium but is losing patience with Oakland mayor Jean Quan, who is now putting off a potential deal for a new stadium until the summer. Davis has a one-year deal to play this season at O.co Coliseum, but the team could be on the move beyond that if it can't find a home in the Bay Area.
