The Philadelphia Eagles were serious enough about acquiring Miami Dolphins pass rusher Dion Jordan that they made a trade offer, Bob Grotz of The Mercury reports.
Grotz says the Eagles tried to pry away the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 draft from the Dolphins for a package including rush linebacker Brandon Graham and a second-round pick. The offer was reportedly made two months ago, and the Dolphins did not accept.
Jordan starred for Eagles head coach Chip Kelly at Oregon, but he was relatively disappointing in his rookie season in Miami.
Though the Dolphins have denied they want to trade Jordan, it won't be a surprise if rumors about his availability pick up as the draft approaches.
