The Tennessee Titans made former Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan the third offensive tackle off the board in the first round of the draft, selecting him with No. 11 overall pick.
A two-time Big Ten offensive lineman of the year, Lewan was a four-year starter for the Wolverines. He's a strong, passionate (some would say nasty) player with excellent balance and quick feet.
The pick suggests the Titans are preparing to move on from longtime starting left tackle Michael Roos. Lewan could also play on the right side of the line, where the Titans have Michael Oher.
Lewan's character was questioned after he was allegedly involved in a fight with two Ohio State fans - he insists he was breaking up a fight, not fighting - but the Titans must have done their homework and determined any concerns about Lewan's character are overblown.
