As it turns out, Matt Flynn's non-visit to the New York Giants on Tuesday was the result of him reaching a deal with the Green Bay Packers, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reveals:

Selected by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2008 draft, Flynn spent the first four years of his NFL career in Green Bay before joining the Seattle Seahawks for the 2012 season. He was later traded to the Oakland Raiders, but was released after appearing in just two games for the team.

Flynn rejoined the Packers in November, making four starts in place of the injured Aaron Rodgers. He is expected to compete with Scott Tolzien for the backup job this season.

In 44 career games, Flynn has completed 61.9 percent of his passes for 2,475 yards with 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
